Little Tip I Learned : Using a virtual machine running Windows won't work, GTA V will refuse to launch as I found this out the hard way after downloading 50GB of game files. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose File New Private Window, or switch to a Safari window that’s already using Private Browsing. Just Note that all the websites and videos online claiming to have an OS X Version of GTA V for download are ALL FAKES Do not follow any of them!! Download and install the Epic Games Launcher for your PC or Mac and start playing some of the best games, apps and more Store. And Im positive that more powerful mac desktops would be pretty good at playing it because they have better specs. The way I did this was using Bootcamp to setup a Dual-Boot system with my main OS X operating system and the other window Windows 10, I then Installed it via steam on my Window OS and was able to launch it and play Story Mode & Online Mode (I was also able to play games like Watchdogs 2, Scrap Mechanic, etc.). Sadly Rockstar Games haven't released an official version for Grand Theft Auto 5 for Mac OS X with little explanation why and it looks like they probably never will release it.īUT!!!!!! This doesn't mean its impossible, I myself have legitimately played this game on my Macbook Air and it ran a bit better than I expected but not quite console quality (in between 20-30fps on Macbook Air 13" 256GB SDD, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Intel Core i5 1.8GHz, Intel HD Graphics 5000 on low settings) and that was 2 Years ago.
